To the Parents:

I wrote this book to introduce children to the tangible nature of Jesus’ ministry. I believe it is important children understand how Jesus related to people then and that he is still doing this today. When Jesus stretched his hands out to calm the storm on the Sea of Galilee, great meaning can be attached to his actions. Jesus understood the people didn’t really know or believe in Adonai, the Living God, but it was their fear and ignorance that drove them to Baal because they could see him. Their worship was fear driven. Jesus came to show that God loved them and that God was all powerful. He did this by overcoming Baal’s dominion, the Sea of Galilee, as well as the element of wind and water.

In the first portion of the book, Abby and the friends in her neighborhood are introduced. The second: Abby receives a dollhouse for her birthday and mysteriously the dollhouse family comes to life when Abby is asleep. The children, Max and Molly discovery they can time-travel by typing information into their new laptop computer, Icon. The third is their experience with four fishermen who tell them of the stormy night they spent on the Sea and what they saw in a boat across the way, during the ferocious storm.
